Pipe Fitter – Lead

Base:               Newport, Brough, HU15 2FX
Work Place:   At client sites across the UK Monday-Friday
Hours:            40 hours p/week plus overtime
Salary:            £26,000 – £33,000 dependant on experience

Pipe Fitters work in a team of two with a Lead and a Second, carrying out commercial ducting and piping and other commercial plumbing activities on green or brown field vehicle workshop and motor dealerships.

Main Duties:

  • Full range of commercial plumbing tasks associated with fitting our range of bespoke, high-quality garage equipment.
  • Completion and submission of accurate paperwork as required.
  • Compliance and adherence to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety in the workplace, particularly LOLER and PUWER.
  • Lead Pipe Fitters work in a team of Second Pipe Fitters and are expected to train their Seconds on and offsite in order to develop their skills.
  • This role invariably involves being away from home 3-4 nights per week, every week.

Qualifications:

  • Good level of education, ideally with relevant trade qualifications in a related discipline.

Essential Experience:

  • Pipework – including socket, screwed and press fittings.
  • Plumbing in a commercial environment.
  • Mechanical, automotive or engineering background.
  • Understanding and working from CAD drawings.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • IT Literate.

Skills:

  • Enthusiastic, motivated and determined to see tasks through to completion.
  • Flexible with good timekeeping skills.
  • A great work ethic.
  • Customer focussed with good communication skills.

Accounts Assistant

Base:               Newport, Brough, HU15 2FX
Hours:            8:00 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours per week)
Salary:            £18,000 – £19,000 per annum

Working as part of a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the Finance department.

Main Duties:

  • Assist with all general accounting tasks, such as Sales & Purchase Ledger.
  • Help to prepare periodic balance sheets and P & L reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Periodic bank and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Use an online software system for processing engineer credit card transactions.
  • Process employee’s overtime timesheets for payroll.
  • Administration support, reception back-up and other ad-hoc duties.

Skills:

  • Well organised, reliable and responsible approach.
  • Competent with standard software packages.

Field Service Engineer

The role will focus on the service of a wide range of garage equipment including; Lifts, MOT Test Lanes, Lubrication Equipment, Emission Testers, Wheel Balancers and Tyre Machines.

Main Duties:

  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Breakdown & Repair Works
  • Testing & Calibration of Equipment
  • Compiling Reports & Recommendations (where necessary)
  • Control of Van Stock

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.

Project Manager

Self-sufficient, commercially aware with the ability to procure and organise all the necessary resources to deliver tendered and negotiated projects on time and on budget. As a small team, a shared work and team ethic is essential together with an uncompromising approach to quality and delivering a first class service to our clients.

Main Duties:

  • End-to-end responsibility from initial project development through to project completion.
  • Manage the implementation and delivery of a wide variety of projects nationwide, on time and within budget.
  • Plan, manage and deliver all aspects of the fit-out process to ensure it is satisfactorily completed to the highest possible standards.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships – proactively and frequently communicate with the clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, surveyors etc)
  • Manage, direct, educate and mentor engineering site staff and office-based project team.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented and that contract obligations are adhered to.
  • Promote a safety culture: conduct regular safety and quality audits to monitor Health & Safety of Engineers and Sub-Contractors in order to ensure that all are working safely (for example using the correct equipment in the correct manner) and in compliance with all legislation.
  • Carry out tendering activities as required.
  • Provide recommendations and measures for improvement of operating procedures/work methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Construction or Engineering related qualifications would be preferable.
  • Experience of contract and project management within Construction, M&E, Engineering or similar field. This experience MUST encompass substantial time in the field rather than just office based.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • A clear understanding of standard work practices/relevant BS and ISO standards and codes/H&S Legislation.
  • Understand contractual requirements and recognise when change is likely to happen that may give rise to delays and costs.
  • Ability to recognise project changes, communicate internally and with clients and agree on viable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Second Installations Engineer

You will be trained on and offsite with one of our Lead Engineers learning and developing your skills in the mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic disciplines.  All of our Lead Installations Engineers are organically grown within the business from our Second Engineers.
