Field Service Engineer

 Satellite – various locations across the UK

Job type:        Permanent
Hours:            45 hours per week plus overtime
Salary:            £25,000-£35,000 (Dependent on experience and location)

The role will focus on the service of a wide range of garage equipment including; Lifts, MOT Test Lanes, Lubrication Equipment, Emission Testers, Wheel Balancers and Tyre Machines.

Main Duties:

  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Breakdown & Repair Works
  • Testing & Calibration of Equipment
  • Compiling Reports & Recommendations (where necessary)
  • Control of Van Stock

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance, inspection and breakdown repairs.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and determined to see tasks through to completion.
  • Flexible with good time keeping skills.
  • Ability to solve problems, using own initiative.
  • Customer focused with good communication skills.
  • Be prepared to travel to meet customer’s needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer/IT skills.

Lead Installations Engineer

Base:                Newport, Brough, HU15

Work Place:  Working at sites across the UK (Monday – Friday)

Job Type:        40 hours p/week + uncapped overtime

Salary:             £25,000 – £35,000 (Dependant on experience)

As an Installations Engineer you will work under the direction of the Directors and Project Managers, representing the company, installing our range of bespoke, high quality garage equipment across the country at a range of dealerships.

Requirements:

  • Worked with Garage Equipment
  • Mechanical Engineering Experience
  • Electrical Experience
  • Experience working from CAD drawings
  • Full valid UK driving licence

IT Infrastructure Specialist

Base:                Newport, Brough

Hours:             40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch each day.

Salary:             Dependant on experience – please state current salary when applying

Sole responsibility for ensuring the day to day running, administration and maintenance of the company’s IT estate including all infrastructure, telephony and software applications.

Assist the CAD team with peak workload overflow by preparing and producing CAD drawings (from basic schematics and initial feasibility through to highly detailed installation drawings).

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer network infrastructure.
  • Ensure servers and systems are up to date with security upgrades and anti-virus protection.
  • Ensure company data is adequately backed up to facilitate protection and recovery.
  • Set up, configure and maintain new hardware/software/telephony.
  • Assist in the development and execution of an IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Research, scope and test improvements in order to keep pace with business requirements and new technologies in the market.
  • Document all system architecture and configuration.
  • Set up and produce MI, Dashboard and other Reporting tools as required.

Required experience:

  • Microsoft Windows Server architecture and associated technologies
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, SAN, WiFi
  • SQL
  • Web browsing technologies – Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Cisco Web Security
  • Active Directory and associated services (inc DHCP, DNS, Group Policy)
  • Backup technologies such as CommVault or BackUpExec
  • Virtualisation environments and technologies such as VPN and VMWare
  • AutoCAD experience, including the ability to read and interpret
  • Understanding, implementing and automating security controls, governance processes and compliance validation in relation to server, applications, data and databases.

Desirable experience:

  • Any experience supporting Apple O/S would be advantageous
  • MCSE qualification
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure

Second Installations Engineer 

Base:               Head Office (HU15)

Work Place:   Working at sites across the UK (Monday – Friday)

Job type:        Permanent
Hours:            40 hours per week plus overtime
Salary:            £17,500-£25,000 (Dependent on experience)

You will be trained on and offsite with one of our Lead Engineers learning and developing your skills in the mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic disciplines.  All of our Lead Installations Engineers are organically grown within the business from our Second Engineers.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience within mechanics or an engineering environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • IT Literate
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and determined to see tasks through to completion.
  • Flexible with good time keeping skills.
  • Customer focused with good communication skills.
  • Be prepared to travel to meet customer’s needs.
